Terms of sale

Orders, prices, delivery, the condition guarantee, the warranty and how to complain.

1. Who you are contracting with

Greenlane Commercials Limited, company no. 13181572, registered office Green Lane Farm House, Green Lane, Badshot Lea, Farnham, Surrey, GU9 9JL, England & Wales. These terms apply to vehicles sold through this website and by email.

2. What we sell

Pre-owned electric bicycles, electric scooters, electric mopeds and light electric vehicles. Every vehicle is used. Its age, mileage, cosmetic grade and measured battery capacity are stated in the written report supplied before purchase; that report forms part of the description of the goods.

3. Orders and confirmation

An order is an offer to buy. It is accepted when we confirm it in writing (email is enough) with the price, delivery cost and expected delivery window. We may decline an order where a vehicle has already been sold or where the report cannot be provided.

4. Prices and payment

Prices are per vehicle, include the 24-point check and the written report, and are shown or quoted exclusive of delivery unless stated. Prices are confirmed in writing before payment and are held for 7 days. We do not take card payments on this website: payment is by bank transfer against an invoice, or on collection. The vehicle remains our property until payment clears.

5. Delivery and collection

We deliver across Europe; delivery is quoted per vehicle and destination before you confirm, based on size, weight and whether the battery travels as dangerous goods. Delivery dates are estimates. Collection is by appointment. Risk passes on delivery or collection, once payment has cleared.

6. Condition guarantee and returns

If the vehicle does not match its report on arrival (a fault recorded as sound, a capacity materially below the stated figure, damage not photographed), tell us within 7 days of delivery. We collect the vehicle and refund the price, or agree a repair where you prefer. Distance sales also carry a 14-day right to cancel, provided the vehicle is returned in the condition delivered with its charger, keys and report; return carriage is at your cost unless the vehicle is faulty. Consumable wear after delivery is not covered by either right.

7. Warranty

A 90-day limited warranty from delivery covers the battery, motor, controller, display, charger and frame against failure in normal use, and holds the battery to the capacity stated in the report. Tyres, brake pads, cables, bulbs, cosmetic wear, water damage, impact damage and unauthorised repairs are excluded. Repairs must be agreed with us before work starts.

8. Your statutory rights

Nothing in these terms limits the rights you have as a consumer under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or equivalent law in your country of residence. Goods must be as described, of satisfactory quality and fit for purpose.

9. Liability

We are responsible for loss you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breach of these terms, up to the price paid for the vehicle. We are not liable for loss that is not foreseeable, for business losses, or for damage caused by misuse, unauthorised modification or use on public roads where the vehicle is not legal for that use.

10. Legal use of the vehicle

Rules on where electric scooters and mopeds may be used, and what licence, registration or insurance is required, differ by country. It is your responsibility to confirm and comply with the rules where you ride. We supply the documents we hold; we do not warrant that a vehicle is legal for road use in your country.

11. Complaints

Write to services@greenlanecommercials.com with the order reference. We acknowledge within 2 working days and aim to resolve within 14 days. If we cannot resolve it, we will tell you which alternative dispute route applies.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the UK or EU, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory law of your country of residence.
