Who we are

What we collect
- Enquiry details — the name, email address, vehicle interest, model or budget and message you submit through the contact form, plus the date and the page you sent it from.
- Correspondence — emails and messages you send us, kept so we can answer and keep a record of what was agreed.
- Order details — where you buy, the delivery address, invoice and payment reference. We do not store card numbers: payment is by bank transfer or in person.
- Technical logs — IP address, browser type and requested pages recorded by our hosting provider for security and fault diagnosis.
- Cookie preference — one value stored in your browser so the cookie banner remembers your answer.
Why we use it
- To answer your enquiry and quote for a vehicle — on the basis of steps taken at your request before a contract.
- To fulfil an order, arrange delivery and handle warranty claims — performance of a contract.
- To keep records of sales and warranty terms, and to prevent fraud — our legitimate interests and legal obligations.
- To keep the site working and secure — our legitimate interests.
We do not use your details for marketing, we do not sell them, and we do not run advertising or analytics trackers on this site.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to an order: 24 months. Order, invoice and warranty records: 6 years from the end of the relevant tax year, as required for company records. Server logs: 30 days.
Who we share it with
Only the processors needed to run the site and deliver an order: our hosting provider (servers in the European Union), our email provider, and the carrier delivering the vehicle. Each is bound to use the data only for that purpose. We do not transfer data outside the UK/EEA except where a carrier’s routing requires it, under standard contractual clauses.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, correction, deletion, restriction, or portability, and you can object to processing based on legitimate interests. Write to services@greenlanecommercials.com and we will respond within one month. If you are not satisfied you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk) or your local supervisory authority.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS. Access to enquiry records is limited to the people who answer them. Payment details are never entered on this site.

This policy was last updated in October 2026. Material changes will be posted on this page.
