Pre-owned electric scooters, checked
Folding and commuter e-scooters, inspected and graded, with the documents we hold listed in the report.
Small machines, short lists of failure points
On a scooter the wear concentrates: tyres and tubes, folding mechanisms, brake cables and the controller. We check those first, then the battery, because a scooter pack is small, cycled hard and often stored at full charge. The report states what we measured and what we could not verify.
What we look at on this type
- 01Battery capacity and cyclesDischarge test in Wh, cycle count, charger output.
- 02Controller and throttleResponse across the range, cut-off behaviour, error codes.
- 03Folding mechanismLatch play, hinge wear, stem lock, deck flex.
- 04BrakesCable stretch, pad wear, disc or drum condition, lever feel.
- 05Tyres and bearingsTread, sidewall, pressure, wheel and headset bearings.
- 06DocumentsWhat we hold: invoice or transfer record, charger, keys where applicable.

A, B, C — and what each one means
Grade is cosmetic. The number that matters is the measured battery capacity, and it is printed on every report.

Questions about e-scooters
Where can I ride an e-scooter legally?
It depends on the country and often the city. In the UK, private e-scooters are not permitted on public roads, pavements or cycle lanes; rental schemes in some cities are the exception. In many EU countries they are legal within speed and power limits. We do not warrant that a scooter is legal where you ride it — check your local rules before buying.
Are these scooters waterproof?
Most carry an IP rating for splashes, not for riding through standing water or pressure washing. We record the rating where the manufacturer states one, and we do not sell a scooter with corrosion in the controller compartment.
Can I get spare parts?
Common consumables — tyres, tubes, brake cables, pads — are widely available. Proprietary controllers and displays are not, and the report names the model so you can check supply before buying.
